The Medium Hand

A letter that holds its shape at one size can fall apart at another, which is why size gets its own module. The medium hand, about three eighths of an inch, is the size of envelope names, headings, and anything meant to be read at arm's length. It is also the most forgiving place to consolidate everything Module Two taught.

The drills
1
The alphabet at size. Two traced rows cover A through Z and the ampersand; repeat each below.
2
Words. WITH WARM WISHES and MANY THANKS, with a word space equal to the height of the letter.
3
Open practice. Rows of your own. Names are the natural choice at this size; write the ones you address most.
